Stake Primary Presidency Message

Don’t you just love Sister Tracy Browning’s talk in the September 2025 General Conference? She calls primary music “one of God’s most tender tools for planting the seeds of testimony in the Savior’s youngest disciples.” No wonder that singing time is the highlight of our visits to your Primaries! A heartfelt thank-you to all Music leaders!

Sister LuAnn Snow of the Primary general advisory counsel has said, “We should never underestimate the powerful witness of the Spirit - not only as we stand as a witness but as we intentionally create experiences that invite children to recognize and express how the Spirit feels to them.”

This focus can bring purpose and clarity to the myriad of tasks that it takes to run a Primary. What a precious time we have in Primary to plant gospel seeds and nurture the children’s experiences with the Spirit!

We are here for you!
Thank you for all that you do in your ward primaries. We know that the children and teachers are being blessed through your valiant efforts. If there is anything you need from us to better do your callings, please do not hesitate to reach out and let us know.

Arbour Lake Ward 2026 Spotlight

How many children are in your primary?
We have 21 children on the roll and about 15 are active. Our “Sunbeam” class has ages 3-6 and we have a Valiant girls class and a Valiant boys class.

How do you structure your primary time?
We hold Singing time all together.

What is your primary's favorite activity?
Music time is our favourite thing about Primary because Sister Palmer is so prepared and eager to teach the children in a fun and engaging way. The kids sing with ribbons, sticks, finger lights, cut up pool noodles, the list goes on! They absolutely love it…and I think all the adults do too 😉

What has been a highlight or special moment in your primary recently?
The primary presentation was so special and just terrific! A highlight was when our Sunbeams got up to share, the helper whispered in their ear, so they whispered into the microphone, and then each sunbeam after that either whispered or didn't want to share at all. They were so cute! We loved how our 4 graduating kids were the MC's and did such a fantastic job! They were just so prepared and mature. The primary kids singing “Sacred Grove” was truly inspiring.
